Building Words: Reading Rods Literacy Center

I love incorporating play into my teaching as much as possible.  When I plan for my week I try to keep worksheet centers to a minimum. This year, I've been creating products that I can use with Reading Rods. Reading Rods have quickly turned into a favorite center for my students. I found Reading Rods at a local teaching store, but I found them on Amazon for much cheaper. You can get them HERE.

Instructions: Print cards out on card stock. I like to glue them in construction paper for added durability. Laminate cards and write answers on the back. Students will spell the words using Reading Rods and they may look on the back to self-correct.

It's the perfect no-prep center!

You can download the individual activities below or save money and get the bundle HERE.
